More than 10 years back, from my career in pre-sales and then marketing in different major technology areas, I learned the importance of anticipating and preparing to take advantage of changes. I also realized during my extensive social activities of selecting, mentoring and coaching young people that the best way to influence others is to evangelize trends.
My MBA not only provided me with different lenses to see the world, but also led me to a new path, i.e. Social Psychology of Organization. Since then, I build my expertise in various organizational topics, e.g. organizational development, social network theory, sociology, psychology and brain sciences.
My current job as a Strategic Consultant in a major global enterprise software company provided me with opportunities to discuss and influence the use of technology to address various business and organizational challenges of many Fortune 500 companies. Meanwhile, my curiosity and my connection with young potential people keep me in touch with the latest trends in life as well as in the Net.
My daily operational work in a fast growing division with many growing pains brought me to some thought leaders in the organizational development area. I used the chance to synthesize and apply knowledge from systems thinking, ecosystem analysis, process engineering, organizational cybernetics (for communication and control), motivation and politics. In the exercise, I also fused in the latest technological and demographic trends to create a view of the organization in the future.
In my spare time, I help to develop and refine business ideas, connect people in my technological, research and business networks together. I also start to work with some of my friends about my own business ideas, while am working to set up a seed fund for Web 2.0 technology in Vietnam.
I currently live with my wife and our son in Heidelberg, Germany.
